♥ Blog 16: When Will Santa Be Here?

Twas the night before Christmas...
Just kidding, it was just a normal night where mommy and me had a bedtime story. Mommy always reads me stories before bed, so that I can dream of all the fun adventures we read about.

Tonight we started with The Story the Little Christmas Tree Told. I felt so badly for the little Christmas Tree, he really did not want to leave him home. I snuggled into Mommy to hear what happens next.

Awww. It was such a nice story, thankfully the people who took the Lil Christmas Tree decorated it and loved it and gave it the best home! I hope our Christmas Tree knows just how much I love it. Now I know that everyday when I add water I need to be gentle and tell it how beautiful it is.

And the Lil Christmas Tree lived happily ever after! The End! "Do you want to hear another story before we head to bed", asks Mommy. *nods nods nods with a big smile*

The best story of the season! Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!! *Closes her eyes and hums along to the tune*

*Imagines a BIG BIG Reindeer sitting with us while mommy reads the story* Wouldn't that be so cool to have a reindeer? I saw one at the zoo when we went on a filed trip, did you know their noses are specially designed to warm the air before it gets to their lungs?! I wish I could do that, then maybe I wouldn't be so cold!

Mommy? When will Santa be here? If I am a good girl, will he come to visit early? I wish I could meet Mrs. Clause, I bet that she is so warm and comfy to snuggle. Do you think that she reads her babies bed time stores? Do you think her cookies are made with magic? Mommy puts a finger to my lips, "Shhh.. just close your eyes and relax, dream of the lil Christmas Tree, Rudolph 

I doze soundly off to sleep.... Good night everyone and to all a good night!

*Snores softly*

PS - Ewww Cooties!! Boys have cooties but I guess mommy doesn't care.

♥ Blog 15: Where do babies come from?

Where do babies come from mommy? The mommy replies, “where do you think babies come from?” I think of this for a moment… “I fink they come from da watermelon seeds when you accidentally swallow one!”

The mommy giggles, “well, sweet heart, I think that babies come from the love of mommy and daddy that gets made into a baby” Interesting indeed! This is not what her friends have told her. Hmmm… “I need to find out more”, as I run over to daddy.

Daddy? Where do babies come from? The daddy replies “where do you think babies come from?” Thinking about what mommy said and what my friends say, “I think they come from the love of watermelon and when you swallow the watermelon love, a baby appears!”

The daddy chuckles softly, “well I heard that, a big big bird, called a stork gets a baby from the baby factory and when it is time, the stork delivers the baby to the family.”

Now I am really confused?! How will I ever really know where babies come from? "I think I will ask Santa Claus next time I see him", snuggling in for a goodnight story instead.

♥ Blog 14: What a Day for a Daydream

I hear something at my door, immediately followed by a Ding Dong! So, I rush over to see who it is. To my surprise it is not a who, but rather a what! 

What could be inside this big box? Maybe it is a big clown about to jump out and scare me! Or maybe it’s a big box of candy!! There is only one way to find out… I hurry and drag the box up to my room, I open the box slowly trying to peek inside.

Would you look at that?! Alice in Wonderland figurines!! The gang is all here!! Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit and who could forget, Alice!!

I close my eyes and imagine what wonderful adventures Alice would have in Wonderland. Meeting the white rabbit, having tea parties, so many things to see! 

I continue to imagine when suddenly I am faced with GIANT Flamingos!! Wait?! How did they get here? How strange, I wonder. Perhaps I should try to ask them for some directions back to my bedroom.

The flamingos do not seem to be very helpful just standing there on one leg looking around. So I decide to try to find my way. I come across a rather large building, but the building begins to move.. and TALK!! Uhhh... uhh. Hello?!, the building says. "Can you please go inside and find out how to get me out of here?" Oh dear! I must help this poor house, so I hurry inside.

What a peculiar place this is, not what I expected to find but I made a promise and I am going to try to help the talking house one way or another. First, I stop and talk with a Caterpillar "Who R U?" I try to explain what happened and he seems to not be of must help. So I decide to try and find someone else.

Next, I come across a funny looking man having a tea party. He invites me to tea! Who could say no when there are so many treats and such a silly way to have tea. I try asking the funny looking man if he is able to help, but he just keeps telling me that it is always tea time! I think I better look elsewhere.

I come across some talking cards, "Curiouser and curiouser!" I am not really sure why they are painting the roses but at this point, I am confused about much of everything. Finally I find a lady, as big as a Mommy so she must be the one who can help! She simply yells and points at me "OFF WITH HER HEAD!!" Oh no... I close my eyes tightly, I don't like this place any more....

Wow!! That was quite the day dream! I open my eyes slowly finding myself cuddling with my kitty. I am so happy that wasn't real, perhaps I don't want to be Alice in Wonderland after all.

That was quite the adventure. I think I better go and rest, as I snuggle into my comfy bed.
